Lord Jesus, in these mid-Lenten days my soul often feels parched and weary, like the Samaritan woman who came to the well at noon, burdened and alone. I carry my own hidden jars—my distractions, my failings, my little resistances to Your grace.
Yet You wait for me there, gentle and patient. You see me truly, without judgment, and You offer the water that truly satisfies, the living water that springs up to eternal life.
Today, I thank You for the small mercies that keep me going: the flicker of hope when I feel dry, the whisper of Your presence in the silence, the strength to say “yes” one more time.
Help me leave my empty jars behind and drink deeply from Your mercy.
A short, heartfelt evening prayer:
O Jesus, Fountain of Living Water,
my soul thirsts for You in this Lenten desert.
As You spoke to the woman at the well,
speak now to my poor heart.
Wash away my sins, refresh my spirit,
and draw me ever closer to Your Sacred Heart.
Through Mary’s intercession, grant me the grace
to persevere with love and trust.
Amen.
