Theme: Christ, the Light of the World
Opening Reflection
On this fourth day of Christmas, we contemplate Jesus Christ as the true Light who has come into the world. Born in humility, He shines in the darkness of sin, fear, and despair, bringing hope, truth, and salvation to all who welcome Him.
Scripture Meditation
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
— John 1:5
Prayer
O Divine Child Jesus,
You came into the world as the Light no darkness can extinguish.
In the quiet of Bethlehem, Your glory was hidden,
yet Your light was strong enough to guide shepherds, wise men,
and every seeking heart.
Shine Your light into our lives, Lord.
Illuminate our minds with Your truth,
warm our hearts with Your love,
and guide our steps along the path of holiness.
When we face confusion, be our wisdom.
When we walk in sorrow, be our comfort.
When we struggle with sin, be our mercy and strength.
Help us to reflect Your light to others
through kindness, forgiveness, and faith,
so that our lives may glorify You
and lead souls closer to Your Sacred Heart.
Closing Prayer
Jesus, Light of the World,
remain with us always.
May Your presence transform our hearts
and make us faithful witnesses of Your love.
We ask this in Your Holy Name.
Amen.
