Third Day of Christmas – Prayer and Meditation

(December 27)

Meditation – Living the Joy of Christmas

As we continue the holy celebration of Christmas, the Church invites us not to rush past the mystery of Christ’s birth, but to remain with Him. Jesus did not come only for one night in Bethlehem—He came to dwell among us, to transform our daily lives with His light.

On this third day of Christmas, we reflect on the truth that God chose humility. The King of Heaven entered the world as a child, teaching us that true greatness is found in love, service, and trust in the Father. Christmas calls us to carry this humility into our homes, our relationships, and our hearts.

Even amid trials, worries, or uncertainty, Christ’s birth assures us that God is near. The joy of Christmas is not fleeting happiness, but a deep peace rooted in the presence of Emmanuel—God with us.

Let us ask for the grace to live the spirit of Christmas each day, long after the decorations are gone.

Prayer – Third Day of Christmas

Lord Jesus Christ,
You came into the world quietly and humbly,
yet Your coming changed everything.

On this third day of Christmas,
help us to keep our hearts open to Your presence.
Teach us to live with humility, patience, and love,
and to recognize You in the ordinary moments of our lives.

May the joy of Your birth remain with us,
strengthen our faith,
and guide us to love others as You love us.

We welcome You, Emmanuel,
now and always.
Amen.
