Feast Day: November 1
Biography:
The Solemnity of All Saints celebrates all the saints in heaven, known and unknown, who have lived lives of holiness and now share in God’s eternal glory. This feast reminds us that every Christian is called to holiness, following the example of those who faithfully loved God and served others on earth.
It originated in the early Church to honor martyrs who gave their lives for Christ. Over time, it expanded to include all the holy men and women whose virtuous lives bear witness to God’s love, even if their names are not remembered.
Reflection:
All Saints’ Day inspires us to imitate the saints by living lives of faith, love, and obedience to God. Their example reminds us that holiness is attainable for everyone, in every walk of life.
Prayer:
O God, we thank You for the example of all Your saints. May their prayers guide us to follow You faithfully and lead us to eternal life with You. Amen.
