Patronage: The Rosary, Catholic devotions, and the defense of the faith.
Queen of the Holy Rosary
The feast of Our Lady of the Rosary honors the Blessed Virgin Mary and the powerful prayer of the Rosary. It was established by Pope St. Pius V in 1571 to commemorate the Christian victory at the Battle of Lepanto, when the faithful throughout Europe prayed the Rosary for protection.
This victory was attributed to Mary’s intercession, showing the world the strength of prayer and unity under her mantle. The Rosary remains one of the Church’s greatest devotions, leading us to meditate on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus through the eyes of His Blessed Mother.
Through the Rosary, Mary draws her children closer to Jesus, helping them find peace, hope, and conversion.
Prayer
Our Lady of the Rosary, guide us in prayer and lead us ever closer to your Son, Jesus. May your intercession bring peace to our hearts and to the world. Amen.
