Hamas announced on Friday that it has submitted its response to President Donald Trump’s peace proposal, agreeing to free all Israeli captives and handing over administration of the enclave to Palestinian technocrats.
In breaking news, Hamas-friendly source Al-Jazeera reported that the terrorist organization accepts key proposals of Trump’s 21-point plan.
Nevertheless, according to the Associated Press, Hamas argues that “aspects of the proposal touching on the future of the Gaza Strip and Palestinian rights should be decided on the basis of a ‘unanimous Palestinian stance’ reached with other factions and based on international law.”
The statement also made no mention of Hamas disarming, a key demand included in Trump’s proposal.
Hamas’ response was issued after President Trump announced Oct. 3 that Hamas has until 6 p.m. ET Oct. 5 to accept his Gaza peace proposal or face “all HELL, like no one has ever seen before.”
“We will have PEACE in the Middle East one way or the other,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “The violence and bloodshed will stop. RELEASES THE HOSTAGES, ALL OF THEM, INCLUDING THE BODIES OF THOSE THAT ARE DEAD, NOW! An Agreement must be reached with Hamas by Sunday Evening at SIX (6) P.M., Washington, D.C. time. Every Country has signed on! If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas. THERE WILL BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ONE WAY OR THE OTHER.”
