Day 20: Renewed Strength & Readiness to Serve (Focus on God’s Call & Obedience)Scripture Reading
Isaiah 40:31
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
As Day 20 dawns, you’ve invested nearly three full weeks in denying the flesh to feed your spirit. Fatigue may creep in physically, but spiritually, God is renewing you—like an eagle molting to regain fresh wings for higher flight.
This fast isn’t just about what you’ve given up; it’s about what God is building in you: deeper dependence, clearer hearing, and a heart ready to say “Here am I, send me!” The end is near—use these last days to reflect on His faithfulness and prepare to carry forward the breakthroughs.
Reflection
- Look back: What has God revealed or changed in you during these 19+ days? (Journal any answered prayers, softened areas, or new insights.)
- Look forward: How has this fast prepared you to serve God more fully? Are there specific steps, ministries, or acts of obedience He’s stirring?
- Ask the Lord: Renew my strength today. Cleanse any lingering distractions, and make me ready to respond to Your call with joy.
Prayer Focus
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sustaining me through these 20 days. You’ve been faithful when I felt weak, providing manna for my soul and clarity in prayer. As the fast nears its close, renew my strength like the eagle’s—help me soar above weariness and walk in Your power. Forgive any areas where I’ve relied on my own efforts instead of Your grace.
Purify my heart, as You did for Isaiah, so I can hear Your voice clearly: “Whom shall I send?”
Lord, here I am—send me. Use the hunger I’ve offered to birth obedience, compassion, and boldness in sharing Your love. Strengthen me to carry these spiritual habits forward: more prayer, more Word, more surrender.
For my family, church, and those I’m interceding for—bring breakthroughs and draw them closer to You.
May the fruit of this fast glorify Your name.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
