Pope Leo XIV has released a new book, The Power of the Gospel: Christian Faith in 10 Words, inviting readers to rediscover the core truths of Christianity. Published Nov. 20 by the Vatican’s official publishing house, Libreria Editrice Vaticana (LEV), the 224-page volume compiles his most compelling addresses and spiritual reflections from the early months of his papacy.
According to Vatican News, the book is organized using 10 words related to the faith: Christ, heart, Church, mission, communion, peace, poor, fragility, justice, and hope, the anthology includes a previously unpublished introduction in which Pope Leo calls for what he terms a global “revolution of love.”
He writes that a world marked by conflict, polarization, and extremism can only be transformed by “recognising one another as brothers and sisters.” This “revolution,” he says, is capable of “truly disarming violence.”
The Pope also condemns entrenched economic inequities, arguing that systems “in which those who have more always receive more, while those who have less grow ever poorer” are no longer morally defensible.
Edited by Vatican journalist Lorenzo Fazzini, the collection highlights recurring themes from the Pope’s first six months of speeches, including migration, social justice, and the Church’s responsibility to serve people on society’s margins.
The book is currently available in Italian. An English-language edition is scheduled for early 2026, and promotional events are planned across Italy in collaboration with dioceses and Catholic organizations.
This marks the second LEV publication linked to Pope Leo this year. In October, the publisher released a compilation of his writings from 2001–2013, when he served as Prior General of the Order of Saint Augustine.
