One Minute Catechism: What Is the Rosary?

Question: What is the Rosary?
Answer: The Rosary is a form of prayer and meditation on the life, death, and glory of Jesus and Mary. It traditionally contains 150 Hail Marys and 15 Our Fathers, divided into fifteen decades, each reflecting on a sacred mystery. Through the Rosary, we grow in faith, hope, and love, and draw closer to God through the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Scripture:
“All generations will call me blessed, for the Almighty has done great things for me.” — Luke 1:48–49

Reflection:
Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary, help me to pray with love and to meditate on the mysteries of your Son with a faithful heart.
