Vice President JD Vance will address the 53rd annual March for Life in Washington, D.C., organizers announced in a Jan. 16 press release.
Vance is scheduled to deliver remarks Jan. 23 at the pre-rally concert on the National Mall. The appearance marks his second year speaking at the annual gathering, which draws thousands of pro-life advocates from across the country.
“Vice President Vance is grateful to the tens of thousands of Americans who travel to the National Mall each year to speak out in support of life, and looks forward to joining them for the second consecutive year,” a spokesman for the Vice President told The Daily Wire.
The March for Life is one of the world’s largest human rights demonstrations. This year, the theme is “Life is a Gift,” as CatholicVote previously reported.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Vice President Vance back to the March for Life this year,” March for Life President Jennie Bradley Lichter said in the press release. “His presence at this year’s March underscores the importance of this iconic event and the centrality of the pro-life movement to a healthy conservative coalition. We are honored that he will join us in standing up for the unborn alongside our marchers from all over the country.”
Vance will join other confirmed political figures who are slated to speak at the event, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J. The Daily Wire reported that Trump is not expected to attend in person but may offer remarks by video, as he has in past years.
