Tenth Day of Christmas

Jesus, Light for the World

Reflection (Meditation):

On this tenth day of Christmas, the Church contemplates Jesus as the Light that shines in the darkness. From the humble manger of Bethlehem, His light reaches every corner of the world, guiding hearts out of fear, sin, and despair.

The light of Christ is gentle yet powerful. It does not force itself upon us, but patiently waits to be welcomed. Wherever Jesus is received—with faith, repentance, and love—darkness is driven away, and hope is reborn.

As we continue our Christmas journey, we are reminded that Christ’s light was not meant to remain hidden. Like the star that led the Magi, we are called to reflect His light in our words, actions, and daily choices, becoming witnesses of His love to the world.

Tenth Day of Christmas Prayer

Lord Jesus,
You are the Light of the world,
shining in every darkness
and guiding us to the Father.

On this tenth day of Christmas,
illumine our hearts with Your truth,
strengthen us in moments of weakness,
and lead us on the path of peace.

May Your light drive away fear,
heal what is broken within us,
and help us reflect Your love to others.

We welcome You into our lives anew.
Remain with us, Lord,
today and always.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
