Florida Right to Life’s Jan. 16, 2026, “Love for Life Benefit Gala” in Jacksonville, Florida, will feature Tim Tebow as a speaker, on the eve of the second annual March for the Preborn.
Tebow, a retired professional football player, is an Evangelical Christian who has been outspoken about his faith and desire to protect the unborn. When Tebow’s mother was expecting him, doctors told her to abort him because of expected medical complications, but she refused. As an adult, Tebow has said that he would rather be known for opposing abortion than his success in professional sports.
“It really does mean a lot more than winning the Super Bowl,” he said in 2020. “One day, when you look back and people are talking about you and they say, ‘Oh my gosh, what are you going to be known for?’ Are you going to say Super Bowl, or we saved a lot of babies?”
Kimberly Bird, vice president of external relations at Live Action and a speaker at the march, also said it is imperative that people continue to speak out for life.
“Every day in America, over 2,800 precious preborn children are killed by abortion,” Bird said, according to the release. “Now, more than ever, we must continue to raise our voices for them. The Florida March for the Preborn is a tradition that reminds each and every person that we can’t remain silent. Human rights begin in the womb, and every life deserves protection.”
Defending Life Alliance of Florida, which was founded in 2024 to organize and run the state’s march, will also hold a pro-life expo, speakers, and a prayer service before the march itself, according to a press release. Bird will be joined by several other speakers, including Emily Berning of Let Them Live, Sarah Neely of Operation Rescue, Seth Tweeddale of TPUSA Faith, and Nancy Basham of Women’s Help Center.
Christian McGrew, the Alliance’s founding president, wrote on CEC for Life’s website, “It is time for pro-lifers across the state to be proactive and strengthen a culture of life in Florida, working toward the ultimate goal of ending abortion in the state.”
