She is the patron saint of archaeologists, converts, and difficult marriages.
St. Helena, also known as Helena of Constantinople, was the mother of Emperor Constantine the Great. After her conversion to Christianity, she became deeply devoted to the faith and used her influence to promote the Church.
Helena is most famous for her pilgrimage to the Holy Land, where she is credited with discovering the True Cross of Jesus. She also had many churches built, including the Basilica of the Nativity in Bethlehem and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
She lived a life of humility despite her royal status and is remembered as a model of Christian motherhood and devotion.
Prayer
St. Helena, seeker of the Holy Cross, pray for us that we may always cling to the Cross of Christ in faith, hope, and love. Amen.
