CV NEWS FEED // President Donald Trump dismissed several National Security Council (NSC) officials following an Oval Office meeting with conservative activist Laura Loomer, multiple sources confirmed Thursday.
The 30-minute meeting, during which Loomer presented Trump with a list of NSC staff members she viewed as disloyal to his foreign policy agenda, took place Wednesday.
According to the New York Times, which first detailed the meeting, Vice President JD Vance, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, and other senior officials were also in attendance.
Shortly after the report was published, Loomer confirmed on social media that she had met with the president but declined to share specifics, citing respect for Trump and the confidentiality of the Oval Office.
“It was an honor to meet with President Trump and present him with my research findings,” Loomer wrote on X. “I will continue working hard to support his agenda, and I will continue reiterating the importance of, and the necessity of STRONG VETTING, for the sake of protecting the President of the United States of America, and our national security.”
Among those dismissed were Brian Walsh, David Feith, Thomas Boodry, and Maggie Dougherty – all officials involved in either intelligence, technology, legislative affairs, or international organizations.
Loomer has recently stepped up public efforts to identify and remove federal officials she claims are not aligned with the administration’s policies.
“If you worked with SPIES WHO LIED for years… you have no business being at the NSC,” she wrote in a recent X post.
Speaking with commentator Steven Crowder, Loomer emphasized: “The importance of vetting, vetting, vetting… I literally have a binder of receipts. I know who’s loyal, and I know who is disloyal.”
The firings come amid continued scrutiny of the NSC. In March, Waltz mistakenly added a journalist to a secure Signal chat discussing military operations in Yemen. While some sources report that Trump expressed frustration with Waltz over the incident, he has opted to keep Waltz in his current role.
