Saint of the Day: Saint Joseph of Cupertino

Feast Day: September 18

Patronage: Students, exam-takers, aviators, and those who struggle with studies.

Short Biography:
St. Joseph of Cupertino (1603–1663) was an Italian Franciscan friar known for his humility, obedience, and extraordinary mystical gifts. Despite struggling with studies, he was ordained a priest through God’s providence. St. Joseph became renowned for miraculous levitations during prayer, which drew many people to witness his deep union with God. His life teaches us that holiness comes not from human achievement but from complete surrender to God’s will.

Prayer:
O humble St. Joseph of Cupertino, who placed all your trust in God, intercede for us that we may rely on His grace in our trials and difficulties. Help us to grow in humility and faith, and to always seek God’s will above our own. Amen.
