CV NEWS FEED // The National Eucharistic Congress recently published a “Eucharistic Prayer Companion for the Lenten Season & Sacred Triduum” to encourage the faithful to spend time with Jesus in adoration especially every Sunday of Lent.
The 13-page digital prayer booklet offers a Eucharistic Meditation to be prayed every Sunday while in adoration to prepare for the week. The meditations are structured around praying with two Scripture passages, praying with the reflection questions, and asking for grace.
Each reflection also includes a specific spiritual work of mercy to focus on for the week.
The Eucharistic Prayer Companion reads,
These Eucharistic Meditations are designed to help you spend 30 minutes to an hour in meditation and silent prayer with Jesus during Eucharistic adoration. Even if you cannot be physically present in a church or adoration chapel with the Blessed Sacrament, you can unite yourself spiritually to the Eucharist as you spend this time in prayer.
Along with Ash Wednesday and the first five Sundays in Lent, there are special meditations for Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday.

The National Eucharistic Congress, which created this Prayer Companion, will culminate this summer in Indianapolis, Indiana. From July 17 to July 21, approximately 80,000 people are expected to gather in the Lucas Oil Stadium in the city to participate in the Eucharistic revival and adoration.
Currently, four Eucharistic pilgrimages that started in Minnesota, Connecticut, Texas, and California are processing the Blessed Sacrament through different dioceses across the states, and will all arrive in the central location of Indianapolis in July.
